Tessa and Tasmin
Tessa is a Montana girl, born and bred. She grew up on a cattle and wheat farm in Pryor MT south of Billings. She spent her childhood riding horses, dirt bikes and snow machines. She is just as comfortable on a Ski-Doo as on the Obsession. Tessa is the organizational, financial and creative force at Blount Adventure. When she isn’t taking bookings or taking care of Tasmin she is making otolith earrings for her jewelry company Fish Gems.
The Origin Story
Travis age 11 first summer in Homer 1998
Captain Travis first traveled to Homer, Alaska, when he was 11 years old with his grandparents. His grandpa Earl was obsessed with summer flounder down in Texas, and when Earl took his “once in a lifetime trip“ to Alaska and caught a halibut- he thought he’d died and gone to heaven! Earl decided that’s what he wanted to do with the rest of his days. Catch Halibut! Travis, being the only grandchild out of 13 grandkids who liked to fish, once he was old enough he got to come along to help fill the freezer!
Travis fell in love with everything he experienced on that first trip. As soon as he was old enough, he started working as a deckhand at age 16. He
spent years learning from many of the best sport fishermen in Alaska. He became a 100ton Near Coastal Master in 2013. Travis spent many years as a hired captain for Homer Ocean Charters where he made a name for himself as the captain that caught great loads of fish consistently. Along the way Travis met a woman with equal love of America, Alaska, and the ocean, Her name is Tessa and she is the love of his life. Tessa saw how talented and passionate Travis was, and encouraged him to start a charter company with her. So…..they did. They started Blount Adventure in 2019, they also got married and started a family. We are living our dreams, come fish with us and we will make your dreams a reality.
