Fishing is still going strong. Surprisingly the whale show this month has been the best I have ever seen with epic displays from Humpbacks and Killers.

Halibut and Salmon are still concentrated in Cook Inlet with a couple good days down at the Barrens but the party at the Chugach Islands is pretty much over. Rockfish have been epic on the East Amatuli Light and Blackcod have started to move into the bay with lots of juvenile sablefish hitting around first and last light.

Despite the shorter days we are still getting it done !

These bottomfish were all from the Barren Islands and the Kings were from Nanwalek.

We are still seeing large numbers of mature halibut caught at the sand waves along with a few late run silvers.

Kings are on Silver Ridge intersted in anything shiny on either side of slack tide.

Average size halibut with a way above average size Silver Salmon.

Despite taking like 10 photos, this poor guy couldnt keep his eyes open due to the angle of the sun or too much dramamine lol.
